The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A2 VC RXD (model B070) is a bright standard zoom lens for Sony and Fujifilm APS-C mirrorless cameras. It was developed with the goal of achieving the best balance between a wide zoom range and high image quality. With a focal length of 17-70mm (25.5-105mm full-frame equivalent), it is the world's first1 interchangeable lens with a standard 4.1x zoom and F/2.8 aperture for APS-C hybrid cameras. The 17-70mm is equipped with the VC image stabilizer developed by Tamron. The minimum focusing distance is 19 cm in wide-angle mode and 39 cm in telephoto mode and allows impressive close-up shots with smooth background sharpness. Whether for portraits, landscape photography or snapshots, this lens is ideal for capturing life's best moments with impressively detailed images.

The 17-70mm F/2.8 features Tamron's excellent VC image stabilizer. For handheld shooting, it ensures optimal sharpness thanks to the effective compensation of camera movements. This allows for optimal use of the lens, even when shooting with long shutter times, at dusk or in indoor spaces. When shooting video, the VC technology allows for better image stabilization by using artificial intelligence (AI) to make corrections based on the shooting situation.

Fast autofocus with RXD technology
The autofocus system is based on an extremely quiet RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping drive) motor. In addition, the autofocus system has a sensor that continuously determines the current focal position of the lens. This ensures fast and precise autofocusing. The focus is reliably tracked for fast-moving subjects. This makes it possible to shoot in telephoto position at a moment's notice and in dynamic situations. The autofocus is so quiet that no disturbing focusing noise is noticeable when making movies.
