It also has an AFL button that allows you to assign functions, and a distance limiter that allows you to optimize the AF search range depending on the shot.

In addition, by connecting the lens to a computer via the SIGMA USB DOCK (sold separately / for L-Mount only), developed especially for hybrid cameras, the user can adapt the gear ratio of the focus ring in mode MF, with the exclusive SIGMA Optimization Pro software.

Finally, the SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary allows direct zooming by pulling or pushing the lens hood, ensuring an intuitive and quick angle of view change.

For example, a magnesium alloy is used for the tripod collar which requires a high strength material.

It is to allow the lens to be paired with housings of a wide variety of sizes that a foot clamp (sold separately) is available. By avoiding any mechanical stress on the housing, it allows the user to take pictures in peace. This foot clamp comes with a strap which also reduces the strain on the mount when shooting or transporting.
