The Ricoh GR IV Monochrome is the first model in the GR series created specifically for pure black-and-white imaging. Designed for photographers who demand uncompromising monochrome quality, it captures luminance data only, without any color interpolation.

Its 25.7MP APS-C sensor, free of a color filter array and anti-aliasing filter, delivers superior sharpness, rich tonal gradation, natural grain, and an extended native ISO range from ISO 160 to 409,600.

The new back-illuminated CMOS sensor combined with the GR ENGINE 7 processor provides:

Built-In Red Filter and Advanced Monochrome Controls

Replacing the ND filter of the standard model, the GR IV Monochrome includes a selectable red contrast filter, enhancing sky contrast, deepening shadows, and brightening skin tones.

Two exclusive Image Control modes optimize monochrome rendering:

• Solid: bold contrast and clean tonality

• Grainy: film-like grain with excellent highlight and shadow retention

All parameters are fully customizable.

Faster Autofocus and Snap Distance Priority

Autofocus performance is significantly improved thanks to a lighter lens design and enhanced subject detection. Face and eye detection are faster and more accurate, even in low light.

The iconic Snap Distance Priority function allows instant focus at a preset distance, making it ideal for decisive-moment street photography.

5-Axis Image Stabilization

A new 5-axis sensor-shift stabilization system compensates for up to 6 stops, enabling sharp handheld shots in challenging lighting conditions.

Redesigned 28mm f/2.8 Fixed Lens

The newly designed 18.3mm (28mm equivalent) lens features a 7-element, 5-group optical construction, delivering improved sharpness, faster focusing, and a more compact form factor.

A dedicated macro mode allows focusing as close as 6 cm, while built-in crop modes simulate 35mm and 50mm fields of view.
