Using a CFexpress Type B card (MOV, 5.7K, 5728 x 3024, 25p/24p/30p), you can record internally in ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 422 video codecs, the professional industry standard, which provides superior image quality at low compression. 60p/50p 10-bit 5.7K recording.
With 5.7K (5728 x 3024) 4:2:2 bit 60p/50p (17:9) and 5.8K (5760 x 4320) 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10-bit anamorphic (4:3) modes, the LUMIX GH6 offers higher resolution and frame rates than ever before. In addition, it provides the best performance in terms of image quality, with versatility and a wide range of expression, essential for video production, for filming, television or any other type.

Unlimited C4K/4K to 60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit video recording time
The first LUMIX to offer internal 60p/50p C4K/4K 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, the GH6 provides unlimited recording time* when used at the recommended operating temperature**. Ideal for small production teams operating in demanding conditions where mobility and superior quality are key. It also allows simultaneous internet and external recording via HDMI output.

Dual 7.5-axis image stabilization (Dual I.S.)
The LUMIX GH6 has adopted a new 5-axis gyro sensor with very high accuracy with a new algorithm to achieve 7.5 stops of Body I.S.*2 and Dual I.S.2*3. This new system also enables high-resolution 100 MP image shooting without a tripod (telescopic shooting is now possible) as well as video recording, including 4K video, to record natural and comfortable to watch video sequences. To achieve such high resolution, eight consecutive images are automatically taken while moving the sensor using the image stabilizer mechanism (Body I.S.) and synthesized into an image equivalent to 100 megapixels (11552 x 8672 pixels). It applies appropriate compensation according to the type of motion by accurately judging the cause.

10-bit HFR/VFR recording
High resolution slow motion recording has gained popularity in video production in recent years. Therefore, it is now available through HFR (High Frame Rate) 120p/100p 10-bit C4K/4K video recording with audio. The LUMIX GH6 also offers a wide range of ALL-Intra 10-bit recording modes for high-end editing. Record HFR 240p/200p video in FHD and VFR (Variable Frame Rate) 240 fps in FHD. With VFR, also record super slow motion video at up to 12.5x (24p/300 fps 10-bit FHD).

New Venus Engine processor
The new Venus Engine processor provides approximately twice the processing power of its predecessor, enabling high-speed processing of the new sensor's high pixel count, as well as higher resolution and higher bit rate video. Image quality performance is also greatly improved. The new Intelligent Detail Processing feature ensures higher resolution, and the new high-performance 2D and 3D noise reduction features (for video) optimize noise reduction. This results in natural-looking 3D images with minimal noise, even at high sensitivity. The high-precision Dual 3D Control feature enables improved color reproduction (brightness, saturation, and hue), resulting in more faithful and richer color expression.

New 25.2 MP sensor
The LUMIX GH6 features the first Micro Four Thirds™ system standard 25.2-megapixel Live MOS sensor. With no low-pass filter, its design allows for both more pixels and higher resolution, for ultra-realistic detail. Its higher readout speed delivers C4K/4K 120p video recording and 75-frames-per-second burst shooting using the electronic shutter while also minimizing rolling shutter distortion.
