SE series models are fast manual focus lenses optimized for the imaging sensors of Sony mirrorless cameras and specialized for taking still pictures using manual-focus.
While having a large aperture of F1.2, it realizes a compact size by removing the click stop switching mechanism, which is useful for video shooting.
The stylish designed full metal helicoid ring employs a simple yet precise -looking flat knurling process.

This lens enhances maneuverability by cutting grooves which is orthogonally crossed against the flat knurling in order to grip the lens without slipping.
These lenses are manual focus and manual aperture designs, but also features electrical contacts that enable the lens settings at image capture to be included in the Exif information of the image data.
