The APO-Lanthar 35mm f / 2 from Voigtländer is a high performance lens, specially designed for Sony mirrorless cameras with full frame sensor. It is considered one of the best optics in the history of Voigtländer lenses. Its optical construction consists of 11 lenses in 9 groups, including two double-sided aspherical elements, 5 with abnormal partial dispersion and floating elements. Thanks to the 12-blade diaphragm, it forms a circular aperture at F2, F2.8, F5.6 and F16 which allows circular bokeh from a point light source.

This manual focus lens is able to request focus peaking on Sony hybrids and benefit from the 5-axis stabilization built into the Alpha 6500 as well as the A7 Mark II series and the Alpha 9. On hybrid cameras with APS-C sensor, the focal length is equivalent to a 52.5mm in 24 x 36. The electronic contacts will allow access to the EXIF ​​data and to see the settings used in the viewfinder during the shooting, such as for example the distance data and focal length that are transmitted. The optical formula is made up of ten elements (including an aspherical lens) divided into eight groups and the diaphragm has ten lamellae.
