Voigtländer NOKTON Classic 35mm f/1.4 Nikon Z

Timeless classic rendering designed for modern Nikon Z mirrorless cameras

The Voigtländer NOKTON Classic 35mm f/1.4 has been developed exclusively for the Nikon Z mount, offering photographers a distinctive artistic lens that combines traditional optical character with today's mirrorless technology.

Instead of pursuing clinical perfection, the NOKTON Classic intentionally embraces the beautiful imperfections that made vintage lenses legendary.

The result is an optic capable of delivering two completely different image personalities depending on the selected aperture.

Authentic vintage rendering

Its 8-element, 6-group symmetrical Double-Gauss optical design deliberately preserves subtle optical characteristics that create a rich, organic image signature.

At f/1.4, photographers enjoy:

• soft, atmospheric rendering;
• exceptionally smooth bokeh;
• strong subject separation;
• cinematic depth and character.

Stopping the lens down increases contrast and sharpness, providing the high level of resolution demanded by today's high-resolution full-frame sensors.

Fast f/1.4 aperture for unlimited creativity

The bright f/1.4 aperture excels in low-light photography while producing beautiful background blur and outstanding three-dimensional rendering.

Its 10-blade circular diaphragm creates smooth out-of-focus highlights and exceptionally pleasing bokeh.

Premium all-metal construction

The NOKTON Classic features a robust all-metal body built to Voigtländer's renowned mechanical standards.

Manual focusing is performed through a precisely machined helicoid offering silky-smooth operation and exceptional precision.

A matching screw-in metal lens hood is included.

Modern electronic integration

Although fully manual, the lens incorporates electronic contacts that communicate directly with compatible Nikon Z cameras.

This enables:

• EXIF data transmission;
• support for in-body image stabilization (IBIS);
• compatibility with electronic focusing aids available on Nikon Z cameras.

The result is the perfect combination of classic photography and modern convenience.

Focus as close as 27 cm

With a minimum focusing distance of only 0.27 m, the NOKTON Classic allows expressive close-up compositions while maintaining its distinctive rendering.

It is equally suited for street photography, environmental portraits, travel, food and detail photography.
