Excellent performance throughout the zoom range
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC features an optical construction comprising 20 elements in 13 groups, including one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), one LD (Low Dispersion) and three GM (Glass-Molded Aspherical), which effectively suppresses chromatic aberrations and other optical defects. As an all-in-one zoom for full-frame mirrorless cameras, this lens stands out for its premium image quality. And in the end, it’s image quality that counts.

Fast and quiet shooting with high-speed AF and VC stabilization
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC is equipped with TAMRON’s VXD linear motor focusing mechanism, which enables smooth and fast autofocusing throughout the 10.7x focal range, while the VC mechanism suppresses camera shake for more stable shots. Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility™ software
The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC is compatible with TAMRON’s own TAMRON Lens Utility software. You can use it to change lens settings, assign functions from the camera, and update the firmware if necessary. In addition, it is possible to manage functions in the mobile version via a smartphone app (Android operating system) without touching the target. can customize functions for different photo and video shooting styles, enabling an even more individual and impressive shooting experience.

Zoom Lock (ZL) Mechanism
Zoom Lock – The ZL mechanism prevents unwanted extension of the tube during transport. The lock, which is activated by a switch, protects the lens from damage and at the same time ensures that it is quickly ready for use.

BBAR G2
Broad Band Anti-Reflection – The BBAR multi-layer coating ensures brilliant images with natural colors. It reduces the reflection of light rays hitting the lens surface. The more advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used since 2019.

MR
Moisture Resistant Construction – The lens housing is dust and splash resistant. All critical areas are equipped with special seals. Lenses with this feature are ideal for outdoor use in bad weather or dirty environments.

VC (Vibration Compensation)
Vibration Compensation – Tamron-developed image stabilization that compensates for unwanted camera shake for sharper images. Shutter speeds up to 5 EV slower are possible with VC image stabilization.
