Two-thirds shorter and two times lighter than conventional macro lenses
While macro lenses tend to be quite bulky, Panasonic uses its unique technologies to reduce the overall size. Compared to conventional macro lenses, the LUMIX S 100mm F2.8 MACRO is approximately two-thirds shorter and half as light. With a total weight of only 1 kg with the LUMIX S5II, this compact and lightweight system can be used with one hand.

Life-size close-up photography
The maximum magnification is 1x, allowing you to capture your subject in full size. Faithfully capture the beauty of flowers, the life of insects, the fine details of crafts, the texture of food and much more.
It can be used not only for macro photography, but also for a wide range of situations, such as mid-telephoto portraits and landscape photography.

Lens design
The optimized configuration has 13 elements in 11 groups, including 3 ASPH lenses, 2 UED lenses and 1 ED lens, effectively preventing aberrations and delivering high-resolution images.

Efficient workflow through unified design
The LUMIX S 100mm F 2.8 MACRO lens has the same size, filter size and operability as the LUMIX S F 1.8 fixed focal length lens range. The center of gravity is closely aligned, allowing for smooth lens switching when shooting videos using a gimbal or drone. In addition, the image rendering performance is also identical, making the post-production process smoother.

Frost, splash and dust resistant design
This lens was designed to ensure shooting in the harshest conditions thanks to its dust and splash resistant construction. It also allows shooting at temperatures down to -10°C.
