LEICA DG SUMMILUX 9mm / F1.7
A bright, fixed ultra-wide angle lens
- High photo and video performance
- Macro focusing distance
- Robust and tropicalised for the most extreme situations
The LEICA DG SUMMILUX 9mm not only features an ultra wide-angle lens with a large aperture, but also an exceptionally short focusing distance of 0.095m with an outstanding macro magnification of 0.25x (0.5x in 35mm equivalent).
Thanks to these capabilities and its 7-blade circular aperture diaphragm, it offers incredible, extremely smooth and round bokeh and is suitable for both photo and video professionals, meeting LEICA's high standards.
Composed of 12 elements in 9 groups, the combination of two aspherical lenses, two extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses and a UHR lens effectively prevents axial and magnification chromatic aberrations. In addition, the UHR lens also provides uniform image quality from the centre to the edges of the

Compact design optimised for mobile use
The Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7 is also very quiet and smooth to use, with a high-precision 240ips autofocus system.
The focus behaviour can also be set to linear (constant focus change suitable for video), or non-linear (focus change depending on the speed of rotation of the ring, more suitable for photography). It also has a 'focus breathing' suppression mechanism for smooth
smooth video.
With its compact size and light weight of approximately 130g, the Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7 offers perfect mobility, as does the entire Micro 4/3 system. Its rugged, dust and splash proof design1 also allows for use in harsh conditions, with temperatures down to -10°C, and it has a filter diameter of 55mm.
