Nikon Nikkor Z 40mm F2.0

Bright f / 2 standard fixed focal length lens
Do you want to keep the spontaneity of your subject? This affordable, full-frame 40mm mirrorless camera lens is bright and compact enough to capture crisp, clear shots. For your vlogging as well as for taking dynamic snapshots, you'll take stunning shots, even in low light conditions.

Images truer than life
Photos and videos taken with the NIKKOR Z 40mm f / 2 showcase rich detail, beautiful depth and beautiful colors. Its natural angle of view is ideal for portraits taken on the spot, as well as for filming interviews and demonstration videos. Without a massive lens on them, your subjects will act more freely and naturally. Plus, it's so small and light that you can even shoot captivating first-person movies.

Precise focus, blurred backgrounds
Emphasize your subject with a slightly blurred and homogeneous background. The large Z-mount and bright f / 2 aperture, ensured by a circular nine-blade diaphragm, produce exceptional images. Creating artistic masterpieces is a snap.

Magnificent close-ups
Whether you're shooting portraits or shooting close-ups for a demonstration, this lens delivers exceptional sharpness. The minimum focus distance of 0.29m lets you position the camera just 29cm from your subject.

Great for video
Do you make videos? This 40mm fixed focal length lens captures rich images and focuses silently. Focus-breathing is significantly reduced, so you can adjust focus without significantly affecting the angle of view.

Silence is turned
Thanks to an ultra-quiet stepper motor and the increased light provided by the Z mount, focusing is fast, precise and discreet. Perfect for stills and more for videos: You can use your Z Camera's excellent autofocus without disrupting the moment you want to capture or ruining a scene.

40 mm in FX format
On a full-frame Z-series mirrorless camera, this fixed focal length lens offers a standard 40mm angle of view, ideal for still portraits, vlogging and interviews.

60 mm in DX format
On a Z-Series DX-format mirrorless camera, this fixed-focus lens offers a 60mm angle of view, ideal for posed portraits and full-frame close-ups.

Compact
This lens is so compact that it can easily slip into your jacket pocket or stay attached to the camera while on the road. Shoot head down, shoot on the fly. You will always be ready.

Perfect control
The lens is always easy to use with its smooth, quiet adjustment ring that can be used to control focus and aperture, exposure compensation or ISO sensitivity.
