Detailed construction
With 14 carefully designed elements - including three aspherical - divided into 11 groups, this lens delivers optimal performance from wide aperture. It stands out for its apochromatic correction, making it the world's first 21mm APO lens designed for full-frame cameras. To eliminate chromatic aberration, most lens elements are made of special custom-made glass with anomalous partial dispersion, made possible by state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and meticulous craftsmanship.
