Leica Summicron-M 28 f/2 ASPH
Lightweight, versatile and compact
Leica has always rethought “what is” while redefining the limits of what can be. This ambition opens the way to endless photographic possibilities and high image performance. The powerful and bright wide-angle Leica Summicron-M 28 f/2 ASPH. embodies this heritage. With its advanced technical features, it is designed to get the most out of newer and upcoming body sensors.
Improved minimum focusing distance
With a minimum focusing distance of 40 centimeters, the wide-angle lens opens up fascinating photographic perspectives. This capability arises from a unique dual-curve mechanism designed by Leica's expert engineers. In particular, it expands the rotation range of the distance ring compared to the previous model, allowing you to get even closer to your subjects. This compact lens features a focus ring that allows for exceptionally quiet, smooth and easy adjustments throughout the range. Focusing is still managed by the M camera's rangefinder up to a distance of 70 centimeters. For distances between 70 and 40 centimeters, you can rely on the live view, the Visoflex 2 or the Leica FOTOS app.
Optimized design
Compact, elegant and user-friendly, the Leica Summicron-M 28 f/2 ASPH. combines sophisticated technology, premium materials and high-precision manufacturing. Composed of nine lenses divided into six groups, it guarantees shots rich in contrast and detail, thus embodying the world-renowned quality of Leica lenses - "Made in Germany". The same level of quality is present in the round lens hood, integrated into the lens, which can be effortlessly adjusted with a simple twist, improving ease of use and the range of photographic possibilities.
