The GF30mmF5.6 T/S offers a tilt adjustment, allowing you to rotate their optical axis, perform a decentration adjustment, and move their optical axis parallel to the sensor. This lens will be aimed at professional photographers who want to freely explore composition and shooting position, especially in architecture, landscape and advertising. The optical design of this lens ensures an image circle of approximately 85mm to fully cover the shift range of ±15mm. A lens and pivot rotation mechanism allows the tilt and shift directions to be independently changed, to orient the optical axis parallel to its offset, perpendicular, or at any angle. This makes it possible to take specialized shots while preserving the superior image quality of the GFX series.

The GF30mmF5.6 T/S is a 30mm fixed focal length wide-angle lens (equivalent to 24mm in 35mm film format). It eliminates distortion and ghosting, common with wide-angle lenses, to achieve high resolution. It thus meets professional needs both in landscape, where the entire image must be sharp, from the grass in the foreground to the most distant mountains, and in architecture, where it will correct the usual distortion when photography of high-rise buildings.

The lens has 16 elements divided into 11 groups, including three aspherical elements, two ED and one Super ED. The front lens, aspherical with a large aperture, and the three ED elements which make it possible to do without electronic correction of distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations. Spherical aberration, coma and field curvature are extremely well controlled to provide remarkable edge-to-edge sharpness, even when using shift.

However, the optimal positioning of the 16 elements (including aspherical elements and ED glass) covers an image circle of approximately 85mm while maintaining a length of only 138.5mm and a weight of 1,340g. In addition, the large aperture aspherical element used for the front lens allows for a versatile 105 mm*4 filter holder: users will thus be able to benefit from numerous filters adapted to each situation, particularly in landscape.

The lens comes with a specially designed tripod mount. Even when using shift, this mount helps preserve the position of the subject relative to the lens, preventing parallax issues and simplifying the precise stitching of multiple images.
