Exceptional image quality
The monitor convinces with its maximum resolution (1920 x 1200), a very good contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². This allows you, for example, to edit graphics and images with pixel precision. In addition, the outlines of the text are clear and precise. The LCD module with IPS allows a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Colors and contrasts thus remain stable in the user's cone of vision.

Smooth transitions and gradients with 16-bit LUT and 10-bit mode
The CS2400R's look-up table (LUT) calculates internally with an extremely high color depth of 16 bits and the panel then outputs the signals with up to 10 bits. Thus, billions of color shades are available for calculating the precise representation of the monitor. Representation errors caused by the monitor, such as banding or clipping, which result in tonal breaks in gradients or color pinholes in gray levels, are thus effectively avoided. Even fine nuances and structures in dark or heavily saturated areas of the image are thus represented differentiated and faithful to detail.

Perfect from the factory
To ensure a ColorEdge is ready for use right out of the box, each CS2400R ColorEdge is individually measured at the factory and optimally tuned. To do this, the gamma curves of the red, green and blue channels are closely monitored and, if necessary, corrected. This unique factory calibration from EIZO allows the user to use the monitor with the preset color spaces directly after unboxing - out of the box. It is also thanks to this complex factory calibration that recalibration by the user with ColorNavigator is so fast.

Digital Uniformity Equalizer
Each screen tile is precisely measured over its entire surface in the EIZO factory. Any inhomogeneities in brightness as well as color points are detected and eliminated. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer) ensures that identical colors always look the same for the entire time the monitor is in use, regardless of where they are displayed. This is the only way to perform precise image processing and editing.

Calibration report
Each ColorEdge CS2400R comes with an individual calibration report that presents the measurement results of the monitor's factory calibration. The report demonstrates the homogeneity, gamma curve, color space coverage as well as the white point of the monitor.

Uncompromising hardware calibration
For a monitor to always display the same file in the same way throughout its duration of use, it is essential to calibrate it regularly. To achieve this, all ColorEdge monitors use the lossless hardware calibration process. Unlike software calibration, which always carries a risk of loss of display quality, hardware calibration does not simply create a correction profile for the graphics card, but adjusts the conversion table (LUT) of the monitor.

EIZO software for quick calibration and printing
Every monitor ages and changes its display characteristics. This is why graphic monitors, whose display must be absolutely constant throughout the entire period of use, must be regularly calibrated and corrected. EIZO's free ColorNavigator 7 calibration software can easily and losslessly correct the ColorEdge CS2400R display in 90 seconds (measured with MacBook Pro and EX4). So the same image will appear on the screen in five years.

The free Quick Color Match software allows users, even without extensive knowledge of color management, to see on screen how their images will look when printed on a Canon or Epson inkjet printer. This helps optimize images for the specific characteristics of the chosen photo paper before printing and avoid costly printing errors.

EIZO microchip
The CS2400R features a high-quality microchip (ASIC, Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) that EIZO has specially developed to meet the special requirements of working in faithful colors. This microchip is the brain of each ColorEdge and guarantees the precise, uniform and consistent display that EIZO is known for.

Industry-leading connectivity with USB-C
Image signal, USB data transfer and power delivery up to 70W, all this and much more can be achieved with a single USB-C cable. The ColorEdge CS2400R thus becomes the central docking station for the graphics workflow. Peripheral devices such as mouse, keyboard or printer can be connected directly to the USB A ports. Mobile devices such as laptops or tablets can even be charged with up to 70 W via the USB-C cable. This transforms the laptop and CS2400R into a complete office workstation in no time at all.

One monitor, many ports
The CS2400R supports various video formats via USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces. So the monitor can not only be integrated into PC-based workflows, but also be used with HDMI players.
