When you're having trouble seeing, the EOS R6 Mark II doesn't, focusing quickly and accurately. The camera locks in confidently with light as low as -6.5 EV1, less than the light emitted by a half moon.

EXPLOSIVE SPEED IN THE STARTING BLOCKS
Capturing the decisive moment has never been easier. The EOS R6 Mark II can reach a maximum shooting speed of 40 fps with its electronic shutter and 12 fps with the mechanical shutter. In 30fps RAW burst mode, the pre-shoot allows you to freeze the moment for up to 0.5 seconds before releasing the shutter.

When the "detect only" autofocus option is enabled on the EOS R6 Mark II, the camera does not attempt to refocus on the background if the subject leaves the frame. Another technology common to Canon's Cinema EOS line, the EOS R6 Mark II's False Color Warnings provide a clear indication of current exposure levels. Six colors, each representing a different luminance level, are superimposed on the viewfinder and monitor images.

RAW ProRes 6K
For maximum flexibility and image quality, use an ATOMOS V+ external recorder to produce RAW ProRes 6K video. The footage is easier to calibrate and has a wider dynamic range. This higher resolution allows you to crop the image, while maintaining 4K quality.
