When speed is essential, go with the EOS R1. Thanks to it, you will always be one step ahead.

ALWAYS ONE LENGTH AHEAD
Sports photography can be almost as difficult as the action on the field. That's why we designed the EOS R1. This camera allows you to take photos faster, capture memorable moments and be the first to send images and videos to your client. Thanks to it, you will always have first place on the podium.

THE ULTIMATE ASSISTANT
At your side, to allow you to take the best shots of your creative career

24.2 million pixel stacked sensor
A back-illuminated CMOS sensor that delivers exceptional low-light performance and ultra-fast readout speeds with virtually no distortion.

Cross-type AF
The EOS R1's cross-type AF is sensitive to both horizontal and vertical lines, giving you greater precision and sensitivity, especially in low-light and low-contrast conditions.

RF lens mount
Designed to maximize lens design possibilities, the RF lens mount offers optical designs that were previously impossible, as well as more portable lenses that can go with you more often. The EOS R1 uses the lens's aperture ring for stills and videos.

TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF CREATIVITY
Since 1989, Canon EOS-1 series cameras have led the way for professional, news and action photographers. The result of 35 years of evolution, our new EOS benchmark, the EOS R1 camera, is focused on the future.

Dual Pixel Intelligent Autofocus
It includes Action Priority mode which automatically determines the subject in a football, volleyball or basketball game.

Cross-type AF
Our intelligent Dual Pixel autofocus is sensitive to horizontal and vertical lines to give you greater precision.

24.2 megapixel back-illuminated stacked sensor
Truly incredible low-light performance, with enough speed to virtually eliminate shutter movement.

Simultaneous capture of photos and videos
Press the shutter button while recording Full HD video to capture a burst of JPEG images simultaneously.

In-camera scaling
Canon's Deep Learning technology enables high-sensitivity sensor images to be faithfully and precisely enlarged up to four times, up to 96 million pixels.

40 fps shooting speed with AF and AE tracking
With pre-release shooting to capture the moments that happened before you pressed the button, even when shooting in RAW format

Fast and precise
It focuses in conditions as dark as -7.5 EV, which is almost the brightness of the Northern Lights, very quickly and accurately.

Exceptional videos for hybrid creators
Capture 6K RAW video at up to 60p, 4K at up to 120p, and 2K at up to 240p, all across the full width of the full-frame sensor.

Cutting-edge connectivity
Our best connected camera yet? With multiple options, including Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5G BASE-T Ethernet, your client will be the first to receive your images.

AUTOFOCUS BASED ON DEEP LEARNING
The EOS R1 harnesses the power of Deep Learning to identify subjects, while its DIGIC Accelerator processor tracks and captures them more precisely than ever. Action Priority mode can even identify the subject based on the action, allowing you to anticipate events.

The EOS R1's AF system is able to automatically recognize and distinguish different subjects and track them even if they are briefly obscured or appear small in the frame.

Faces
It recognizes the face and head, even when the subject is wearing a helmet or mask.

Eyes
The EOS R1 instantly locks onto the subject's eyes if they are visible.

Body
The device tracks people's entire body, or just the upper part.

Sport
Action Priority mode anticipates the actions of football, volleyball and basketball games, and moves the active AF point.

Animals, cars and planes
The EOS R1 is also capable of recognizing other subjects to help you achieve razor-sharp results.

Intelligent Dual Pixel Autofocus with cross-type AF points
The EOS R1 features cross-type autofocus sensitive to horizontal and vertical details. This achieves greater sensitivity and precision, especially in low light and low contrast conditions.

Stunning image quality
The new 24 million pixel sensor delivers incredible results. The ultra-fast stacked CMOS design is sensitive in low light. A low-pass filter with 16-point separation effectively reduces false color and moiré while providing highly detailed resolution.

Photos and videos. Separately and simultaneously
Designed for professional hybrid photographers covering events. When Dual Shot is enabled on the EOS R1, a single press of the shutter button while shooting Full HD video captures 5616 × 3168 pixel (17 million pixels) JPG photos at up to 10 fps using the same shutter speed, all without interrupting video capture.

EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE, NOW STANDARD
Capture fleeting moments like never before: this camera offers continuous shooting at 40 fps, a blazing fast maximum shutter speed of 1/64,000 sec and minimal image distortion for incredible results.

GO BACK IN TIME WITH PRE-TRIGGER SHOOTING
Press the shutter button halfway to start buffering 20 frames continuously. The moment you take the photo, these “pre-captured” images will also be saved in the camera. With the EOS R1's maximum shooting speed of 40 fps, you can record action up to half a second before pressing the shutter button. At slower shooting speeds, the pre-capture time increases, for even more flexibility.

THINK BIG! IMAGE SCALING OPTIMIZED BY DEEP LEARNING
Discover the smallest details in the tightest frames. Magnify images up to four times in-camera to produce stunning, gallery-worthy 96-megapixel photos.

MULTIPLE POWERFUL CONNECTIONS
Be the first to send your images and videos to your client. The EOS R1 offers more ways to connect and the speed you need to achieve your goal of achieving the top spot on the podium.

802.11ax and MIMO
The EOS R1 offers extremely stable wireless connections thanks to Wi-Fi 6E (depending on region) and built-in MIMO antennas.

Camera Connect app
Position the EOS R1 to get the point of view you want, then control it remotely from your smartphone or tablet, connected wirelessly or via USB.

One camera, many options
The EOS R1's professional video features make it a great option for hybrid photographers and filmmakers. You can shoot interviews, live documentaries and short films, capturing stunning 6K footage using the full width of the camera sensor.

A model from the EOS R range
When you invest in an EOS R1, you get much more than a digital camera. You are purchasing a continually evolving, cutting-edge imaging system designed for uncompromising performance and exceptional image quality
