The mechanical brass adjustment dials, machined by precision milling, are coated with a black finish which reveals an elegant patina over time. The more you use the Z f, the more it resembles you.

  • The powerful technology of the Z series for absolute sharpness, exceptional precision and remarkable speed. Whatever the subject.
  • Modern and classic controls for complete freedom to work your way
  • Cutting-edge features for endless inspiration
  • And still incredible image quality
  • The full-frame Nikon Z f. It's up to you to write the legend.

All the power of full format at the service of creativity.
With its analog look and adjustment dials, the Z f will undoubtedly remind you of the 24x36 format SLRs of yesteryear, but it has all the makings of a cutting-edge full-frame hybrid camera that will meet your expectations. The 24.5 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor combines with the EXPEED 7 processor and the light-capturing capabilities of the large Z-mount to give you more creative freedom. Sharpness, contrast, color accuracy, dynamic range, focus accuracy, low-light performance: you have all the tools you need to make a statement. Also used in Nikon's Z 8 and Z 9 professional cameras, the EXPEED 7 processor ensures synchronous operation of all components. It drives the AF's deep learning algorithms, allowing the Z f to detect and track more subjects than any other mirrorless system camera. It is at the very heart of the camera's optimized vibration reduction system, which allows you to gain up to 8 shutter speeds*. It is also thanks to the EXPEED 7 processor that the sensor can produce such sharp, noise-free images at high sensitivities. In photo mode, the Z f gives you a native sensitivity range of ISO 100 to 64,000 (expandable up to ISO 204,800 in Hi 1.7 mode). In video mode, the maximum native sensitivity is ISO 51,200 (expandable to ISO 204,800 in Hi 2 mode). To succeed in a late photo session in unfavorable lighting conditions or obtain images rich in details in bright sunlight, you have all the cards in hand.

Revolutionary stability with optimized VR
You've never seen such effective vibration reduction (VR). The Z f's optimized VR system ensures stability in all shots, with built-in 5-axis image stabilization to gain 8 shutter speeds and the world's first AF point VR1 2 In photo mode, AF point VR gives you truly revolutionary control over the sharpest point in your image. Indeed, the VR system does not just stabilize the center of the image. It targets your active focus point. So you get impeccable sharpness in just the right place, whether you're composing an image with the focus point at the very edge of the frame or tracking a fast-moving subject. In video mode, you can combine in-camera sensor-shift VR and electronic VR3. This allows you to shoot smooth handheld footage while walking and, if you use a wide-angle NIKKOR Z lens, any keystone distortions will be corrected. In both photo and video, integrated VR is ideal for stabilizing fixed focal length lenses. You can even attach your prized vintage F-mount NIKKOR lenses and shoot with all the benefits of the Z f's powerful 8-stop gain VR system, without compromising image quality.

Subject detection, even in manual focus
Thanks to the powerful EXPEED 7 processor and deep learning technology, this full-frame mirrorless camera gives you the ultimate manual focus assistance: subject detection. If you enable subject detection during manual focus (MF) shooting, the Z f recognizes your subject and automatically moves the focus point to it. This saves you considerable time when taking portraits of people, animals or birds, because the camera is responsible for moving the focus point to the subject's face or eye. You are then free to concentrate on the composition. Subject detection in MF mode works whether you use the viewfinder or the monitor. You can also enable it when shooting with vintage F-mount lenses.

Full rotation adjustable monitor
The first fully rotatable touch screen integrated into a Nikon Z camera, this adjustable monitor allows you to work from all angles without losing the frame of view. It also offers you a whole new way to access shooting functions thanks to its touch Fn function. The Touch Fn function allows you to assign your favorite commands to the nine customizable zones arranged on the bright, high-definition touch screen. This is a convenient and intuitive way to use the camera: just tap an area to move your focus point, switch eyes from one subject to another, select a grid or display a horizon virtual, among others. Once Touch Fn is enabled, you can even compose your image by looking through the viewfinder and set focus on the monitor using your thumb. Monitor or viewfinder, whatever your choice, using the device remains fluid. When you turn the camera to take a vertical photo, the menus and on-screen controls also position themselves vertically. Finally, the camera automatically engages self-portrait mode when you point the monitor towards you.

Stunning level of detail thanks to pixel shifting
For the first time in a Nikon Z camera, Pixel Shift lets you combine up to 32 shots to create finely detailed, ultra-high resolution images with spectacular color reproduction. This feature is ideal for photo shoots in controlled studio environments or for any scene in which the subject is completely still. Choose to shift by one pixel to merge four or eight shots into a 24-megapixel RAW image, a size equivalent to four RAW images. You can also shift by 0.5 pixels to merge 16 or 32 shots and create a RAW image with an impressive resolution of 96 million pixels, with a maximum image size equivalent to 16 RAW images. When you merge 8 or 32 shots, moiré, color shifts and noise are significantly reduced. Combine the pixel shift with the Z f's prodigious ultra-precise focusing system and you get shots of breathtaking quality. From the astonishing to the incredible, there is really only one step left

Here are the main features of the Nikon Z f:

• A traditional design inspired by the iconic FM2
The influence of Nikon heritage is evident when examining the Z f in detail. Its retro-inspired look is reminiscent of the iconic FM2, as is the adoption of the dials, the shutter button and the addition of the Nikon logo from the 1970s. All its dials, machined by precision milling, are made of brass, for a tactile feel. of superior quality. Image creators will be able to choose from six premium exterior color options, in addition to the standard all-black model, to personalize their camera and suit their own style.

• New functions that expand the possibilities of photographic expression
