A New 44 MP BSI Full-Frame Sensor

The camera captures high-resolution DNG and JPG files with exceptional tonal depth. Its 14-stop dynamic range allows photographers to preserve detail in both highlights and shadows, making it ideal for landscape, portrait, studio, architecture, documentary and commercial photography.

For maximum resolution, the Leica SL3-P also offers a Multi-Shot mode capable of producing images up to 176 megapixels. This is especially useful for product photography, artwork reproduction, architecture and any situation where the highest level of detail is required.

Advanced Hybrid Autofocus with 819 AF Points

The Leica SL3-P features a newly developed hybrid autofocus system combining phase detection, contrast detection, depth mapping and intelligent subject recognition.

With 819 phase-detection AF points and advanced machine learning, the camera can reliably detect and track people, eyes, faces, bodies, animals and vehicles. Continuous autofocus shooting up to 40 frames per second in 12-bit makes the SL3-P highly effective for fast-moving subjects, including sports, wildlife, events and action photography.

Even when subjects move unpredictably or overlap within the frame, the SL3-P maintains accurate focus tracking with impressive stability.

Professional 8K Video Recording

The Leica SL3-P is also a powerful video tool for professional filmmakers. It supports 8.1K Open Gate recording in 3:2 up to 30p, 8K video, 5.9K up to 60p and 4K up to 120p.

The Open Gate format uses the full sensor area, giving creators maximum freedom for cropping, reframing and delivering content in multiple formats. ProRes recording ensures efficient post-production workflows, while HDMI RAW 8K output provides additional flexibility for professional external recording.

The camera also supports direct SSD recording via USB-C, making it suitable for long recording sessions and high-data-rate productions.

Leica P-Design: Discreet, Elegant and Robust

The Leica SL3-P follows the refined design language of Leica’s P models. It removes the iconic red Leica logo for a more discreet appearance and features black controls for a clean, understated professional look.

Made in Germany, the camera is built with a full-metal body and a Leica L bayonet mount. Its IP54 protection provides resistance against dust and splashes, making it suitable for demanding professional environments.
