The X-Trans CMOS 5 HS sensor is capable of recording bursts of 40 frames per second without clipping. In burst mode, the sensor's phase detection pixels are controlled independently of the image display. This triples the number of possible calculations, allowing incredibly high speeds of focus between individual images with precision and accuracy.

High-speed burst shooting at up to 30 frames per second for more than 1000 images.
Increased memory capacity dramatically increases the camera's ability to record continuous burst mode images without stopping. Achieve seamless speeds of up to 40 frames per second, shoot more than 1,000 images continuously at 30 frames per second in JPEG, or write RAW images at 20 frames per second* using the electronic shutter on the X-H2S.

Improved autofocus for better subject tracking in almost any lighting condition
An improved AF prediction algorithm, combined with X-Trans CMOS 5 HS and X-Processor 5, dramatically improves subject tracking and autofocus accuracy on moving objects, especially in the AF area and in low contrast conditions.

Subject Detection Autofocus
The X-Processor 5 features Subject Detection Autofocus based on Deep Learning technology that automatically detects and tracks a wider range of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes and trains, as well as human faces and eyes. So image makers can focus on composition and creativity, knowing that the X-H2S will focus accurately.

HEIF Image Format Support
The HEIF image format offers 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than standard JPEG files, confirming Fujifilm's reputation for delivering high quality images right out of the box.

Open Gate 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10bit
Open Gate 6.2K films can be recorded internally at 30P in 4:2:2 10bit color.
The X-H2S's 26.1MP BSI Overlay CMOS sensor has an incredible playback speed of up to 1/180 sec*, allowing for tight control of rolling shutter effects and more natural motion when recording video.

4K/120P High-Speed Video Recording
The X-H2S also supports 4K/120P high-speed video. Now fast-moving subjects can be recorded in incredible detail for high-quality slow-motion footage.

Up to 240 minutes of continuous recording
The camera features a new heat dissipation structure, which increases the video recording time to 240 minutes of 4K/60P video. *

*When recording video at 25℃ from a cold start, with the auto power-off temperature set to "High", a bit rate of 100Mbps, a VG-XH vertical battery grip attached and the use of three batteries. Recording time depends on the remaining battery charge and the type and capacity of a memory card used. When the main unit heats up, shooting may be automatically interrupted.

Apple ProRes Support
The X-H2S supports Apple ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT. ProRes 422 Proxy is also available when recording in ProRes, streamlining post-production workflows.

Enhanced Auto Focus for Video
The X-H2S supports AF+MF when recording video and offers Subject Detection AF during video recording for accurate tracking of fast-moving subjects.

New F-Log2
In addition to F-Log, the X-H2S also supports F-Log2, which records an extended dynamic range of more than 14 stops*, wider than the current F-Log, and expands post-production potential.

RAW output via HDMI
When combined with an ATOMOS HDMI device, the X-H2S' RAW video output can be recorded in Apple ProRes RAW 12-bit format with frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 fps. And when paired with Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12Gs, the camera's RAW video output can be recorded in Blackmagic RAW format with frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97fps.

Remote recording function
Add the optional FT-XH* file transmitter to support remote recording via wired or wireless LAN. This new feature allows up to four X-H2S cameras to be controlled simultaneously from a browser.

Up to seven stops of internal image stabilization
An all-new 5-axis image stabilization system, enabled by the X-Processor 5 and a detection-based control function, offers up to seven levels of compensation. This powerful feature gives users the freedom to hold the hand in conditions that would have previously required support, such as sports or low light.

5.76 million-dot high-resolution electronic viewfinder
The high-resolution electronic viewfinder has 0.8x magnification and uses 5.76 million dots for incredible detail. The refresh rate of approximately 120 frames per second eliminates image blur and distortion typically caused by looking through the viewfinder at extreme angles, making it easier to track moving subjects with greater accuracy.

Rugged, weather-resistant housing for use in all conditions
With 79 sealing points offering high levels of resistance to dust and moisture, the X-H2S is designed to withstand the rigors of everyday professional use and operate normally in temperatures as low as -10°C (14°F).

Advanced operation and controls

Updated Grip
The X-H2S improves on the X-H1's familiar grip to provide a more secure feel. This is especially useful when using longer or wide-aperture lenses.

Light touch shutter release
The feel of the shutter button has been adjusted to make it more intuitive when pressed halfway, allowing users to release the shutter at the right time.

Supports CFexpress™ Type B cards
The X-H2S features a CFexpress™ Type B memory card slot and a UHS-II SD memory card slot. Get the full potential of the X-H2S' incredibly fast burst mode and professional video performance with CFexpress™ Type B cards.

Enhanced Video Features
Video operations have been made easier, with a standalone video recording button and a 1.62 million-dot variable angle LCD that can be fully rotated, even with HDMI and microphone cables connected. A full-size HDMI Type A port is also provided for the first time on an X-series camera.

Increased connectivity
The X-H2S can be connected directly to a PC for use as a 4K webcam and livestreaming, without requiring the FUJIFILM X Webcam software. It can also be combined with the optional FT-XH file transmitter to support FTP transfer and connection capabilities via wired and wireless Internet connections, or USB-connected smartphones.
