Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 features a larger Super 35 (6144 x 3456) sensor and an EF lens mount. This allows you to capture cinematic images with a shallower depth of field. It also has a tilting LCD, a viewfinder mount, mini XLR audio inputs and an NP-F570 style battery.

Easy-to-reach buttons on the multi-function grip
In addition to being ergonomic, the multi-function grip includes easy-to-reach buttons for ISO, white balance and shutter angle. It also includes a thumbwheel to quickly adjust the iris with your index finger. Much more powerful than a DSLR, you won't waste time navigating menus on a small screen to find a function. The buttons for recording video or taking still images are intuitively placed. You have assignable function buttons for high frame rates, zoom, false color and more. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro also offers additional controls for neutral gray filters.

Shooting controls at your fingertips
The front panel and top of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera include buttons to start/stop recording and take still images, as well as dedicated controls for iris, ISO, white balance and shutter speed. The master switch is located on the top, next to a row of 3 customizable function buttons.

Rear Panel Controls
These controls are located just below the space for your right thumb. So you can quickly change the recording speed with the HFR button, zoom into the image with the magnifying glass, access the setup menus and playback shots to check them.

High-resolution sensor for cinematic digital quality
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a native sensor with 4096 x 2160 resolution. The 6K models offer a native resolution of 6144 x 3456. The 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO of up to 25,600 give you great images with little noise, whether you're shooting in bright sunlight or in a very dark environment. Plus, the Super 35 sensor in the 6K models allows you to shoot with shallow depth of field and anamorphic lenses. All models let you shoot at up to 60 fps in Full mode or 120 fps in Window mode. With its fabulous sensor and Blackmagic colorimetry, you have the most advanced technology for capturing cinematic images.

Compatible with film and photographic lenses
With three models to choose from, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is the most lens-compatible camera in the world. You can choose from a wide range of EF or Micro 4/3 lenses. The 6K models feature an EF lens mount, allowing you to use lenses you already own on a DSLR, URSA Mini Pro or even the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera. You can use widely available photographic lenses to make creative choices and achieve feature film-quality images. The active lens mount allows you to adjust focus and iris from the camera's buttons or touch screen. For even more flexibility, the 4K model's Micro 4/3 lens mount can be adapted for PL, C, EF or other lenses.

Built-in ND Filters
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro features excellent motorized infrared neutral gray filters to reduce the amount of light entering the camera. The 2-, 4-, and 6-stop filters, specifically tailored to the colorimetry of the URSA Mini Pro cameras, give you additional latitude, even in demanding lighting conditions. The infrared filters are designed to filter optical and infrared wavelengths evenly to eliminate infrared contamination in images. The activation buttons are located on the back of the camera body, so you can easily access them with your thumb from the multi-function handle. The filter settings can be displayed as ND, iris reduction or fraction on the LCD!

Wide Dynamic Range (HDR) to capture incredible images
The distance between the brightest and darkest parts of an image is called dynamic range and is measured in f-stops. Pocket Cinema Cameras have an incredible 13 f-stops of dynamic range, which allows them to preserve more detail in shadows and highlights than a conventional camera. So you can set the exposure for an indoor shot, like in a coffee shop, while still capturing the details of the outside light coming through the window. You get even more color than the standard DCI-P3 color space used for feature films. And because DaVinci Resolve Studio is included with the camera, you have complete creative freedom when color grading, with controls to adjust and recover exposure.

Native dual ISO for exceptional low-light performance
The ISO of digital cameras measures the sensitivity of the sensor to light. The higher the ISO, the more sensitive the sensor is to light. This means you can shoot in natural light, even at night! Pocket Cinema Cameras have a double ISO up to 25,600 and are therefore optimized to minimize grain or noise in the image while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. The native ISO at 400 is ideal for scenes with stage lighting. The second ISO at 3200 is perfect for low-light environments. Because the gain is automatically adjusted when you adjust the ISO, it becomes easy to capture great images even if you don't have time to set up the lighting.

Multiple resolutions and frame rates
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can be used to shoot at all standard resolutions and frame rates, from HD all the way up to 4K DCI and even up to 6K depending on the model. You can capture 21.2-megapixel still images on the 6K models and 8.8 megapixels with the 4K model. The 6K models capture up to 50 fps at 6144 x 3456 16:9 or 60 fps at 6144 x 2560 2.4:1 and 60 fps at 5744 x 3024 17:9. For higher frame rates, you can set the sensor to Window mode and shoot at 120 fps at 2.8K 2868 x 1512 17:9. You can also work in 6:5 anamorphic by shooting at 60 fps in 3.7K 3728 x 3104 with anamorphic lenses. Formats that make post-production easier
Because Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera records in standard and open file formats, you won't waste time transcoding. Files are compatible with all post-production software so you can work with the software of your choice, including DaVinci Resolve Studio. It is possible to record in 10-bit Apple ProRes in all formats up to 4K or 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in all formats up to 6K. Blackmagic RAW is the most scalable RAW format. Developers can use the free Blackmagic RAW SDK to integrate its support into their applications. Recording files are supported by all operating systems and you can format your storage cards or disks in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows.

Use SD, UHS-II or CFast 2.0 cards
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras include slots for CFast and SD UHS-II cards, as well as a USB-C expansion port for recording directly to external drives. You can use standard SD cards for HD, or high-performance SD/UHS-II and CFast cards to shoot in native Blackmagic RAW 4K or 6K. Imagine being able to capture over an hour of full-resolution 6K footage on a single 256GB SD UHS-II card! ProRes and Blackmagic RAW files are compatible with all video software. You can even insert your storage cards into your computer and start editing directly with the included DaVinci Resolve Studio software.

Blackmagic Raw: RAW quality with the speed of video codecs
Blackmagic RAW is a revolutionary format designed to capture camera sensor data. Video formats such as H.264 heavily compress images, add noise, and can cause artifacts and lose some of the original sensor data. Blackmagic RAW solves this problem, as it delivers exceptional, detailed images with true color throughout the production pipeline, from camera to post to mastering. It also saves camera settings as metadata, allowing you to adjust ISO, white balance, and exposure in-camera or in post-production without any loss. Blackmagic RAW files are also lightweight and fast. Only Blackmagic RAW offers the highest quality and fastest speed on small files.

Color Temperature
Setting the color temperature allows the camera to interpret the white and other colors in an image. Instead of saving images with the color value, Blackmagic RAW allows you to change the temperature in post-production using DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Contrast
Adjusting the contrast, or tonal range of an image, can make certain areas of the image stand out. While it's a good idea to get the best shot on set, Blackmagic RAW allows you to adjust contrast without loss of quality during editing and color correction.

ISO
Changing the ISO adjusts the light sensitivity of the camera. Properly exposed shots require the right combination of ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Depending on the lighting and exposure, you may need to adjust the ISO in post.

Tint
Adjusting hue is another way to affect the overall color balance of an image. Unlike saturation or center point, which make reds redder and yellows yellower, adjusting hue allows you to push colors in different directions.

Saturation
Saturation is the intensity or purity of a color. More saturated colors are pure and less saturated colors have a percentage of gray proportional to their hue. Adjusting the saturation of Blackmagic RAW images can help bring out or soften their colors.

Exposure
To get the best results, you need to make sure that images are not too bright (overexposed) or too dark (underexposed). With Blackmagic RAW, exposure settings can be changed in post, so you can record shots that are not properly exposed!

Touchscreen for quick setup
The large touch screen LCD displays essential information on the semi-transparent display and also provides access to the camera's setup menus. The semi-transparent display lets you adjust settings such as frame rate, iris, timecode, shutter angle, white balance, ISO, audio levels, and more-all at your fingertips. You can choose to show or hide this display by swiping up or down. Each indicator opens the corresponding setting: WB for white balance or meters for audio level. Because everything is interactive, you can display the setting you want and change it instantly without going through many menus. You can also access settings such as the digital clap to quickly add metadata to any shot.

Large 5" LCD monitor
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera features a bright 5-inch touchscreen that makes framing and focusing easy. So you don't have to carry around an external monitor! The screen displays status and recording settings, histogram, focus assist indicators, levels, and framing cues. Quickly apply 3D LUTs for monitoring shots with the look and colors of your choice. The LCD monitor on the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and Pro models offers a more advanced HDR display that can be tilted up or down to monitor your shots. Since the HDR display on the 6K Pro model includes 1500 nits of brightness, it's ideal for use in direct sunlight.

Featuring the same 5th generation colorimetry as the URSA Mini Pro 12K, the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro delivers even greater image quality, with accurate skin tones and true colors in every shot. It features a new 12-bit gamma curve, designed to capture more color data in the highlights and lowlights. Colorimetry also handles some of the complex image processing in Blackmagic RAW to preserve the sensor's color and dynamic range data via metadata, which you can use in post-production. This gives you images that look natural and cinematic when color grading with DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Optional viewfinder for professional shooting
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and 6K Pro support an optional viewfinder to facilitate outdoor and handheld shooting. The 1280 x 960 color OLED display incorporates a proximity sensor and a 4-element glass diopter for incredible accuracy with wide focus adjustment from -4 to +4. The built-in Siemens test pattern ensures that you get a perfect viewfinder focus setup. Other status information, such as framing marks, are also displayed. The Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF connects quickly to the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and 6K Pro via a single connector. The viewfinder offers a 70-degree swivel range and comes with 4 different types of eyecups for the left and right eye.

Professional connections for custom rigs
Although it is small and mobile, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera incorporates many connections for audio, monitoring, power and more. The camera features a large format HDMI connector for monitoring with HDR support and 10-bit output. So you can connect HDMI monitors for on-set monitoring with or without on-screen status information. It also includes a mini XLR connection with 48 volts of phantom power for connecting professional microphones, a 3.5mm input for camera mics, a headphone connection and a professional DC power connector. With its high-fidelity audio recording capabilities, there's no need to bother with a separate audio recorder! Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras feature a mini XLR input with 48 volts of phantom power for connecting professional microphones, such as lapel and shotgun mics. The 6K Pro has 2 mini XLR connections, allowing you to record 2 separate audio tracks using 2 microphones, without an external mixer. The four built-in microphones offer extremely low background noise and are shock and wind resistant, allowing you to capture quality sound in any situation. The cameras also feature a 3.5mm audio input for connecting video camera microphones, a built-in speaker for playback and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Load 3D LUTs for a cinematic look
Digital cameras shoot with a logarithmic color space to preserve dynamic range, which is ideal for post-production. However, when viewed on a monitor, images can appear flat and washed out. 3D LUTs solve this problem, applying a "look" to your monitor to give an idea of how the final image will look after editing. LUTs can be applied temporarily for monitoring, or saved to Blackmagic RAW files for use in post-production. Pocket Cinema Camera supports standard 17- and 33-point 3D LUT files, but you can also work with built-in LUTs, such as Extended Video, Film to Video, Film to Rec.2020, and more.

Record directly to external USB-C drives
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is equipped with a high-speed USB-C expansion port that operates at up to 5 Gb/s. USB-C is available on most modern computers and supports power. So you can connect external accessories, such as flash drives or SSDs, to increase your recording times dramatically. By connecting a fast external drive, you can shoot in 6K at the highest constant Q0 quality of Blackmagic Raw 12-bit or at high frame rates. At the end of shooting, simply remove the external drive and plug it into your computer to start editing and grading directly, without having to copy files.

Integrated time code generator: Perfect sync for multi-camera shoots
In addition to its professional features, you have a built-in timecode generator to shoot in perfect sync with more than one camera! Simply connect an external timecode generator, such as Tentacle Sync, to the 3.5 mm audio jack. The camera will automatically detect the timecode and synchronize the internal generator. Each camera will then be able to start and stop recording and all their shots will have the same timecode. Imagine being able to film a music festival with many cameras! What's more, DaVinci Resolve will automatically synchronize the takes from all the cameras. So you won't have to sort through thousands of files!

21.2 megapixel still images
In addition to recording video, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can take high-resolution still images. Simply press the still image button to capture a 21.2-megapixel photo with the 6K models, or 8-megapixel with the 4K model. Because the images are saved as uncompressed DNG images, you get the best quality, which is ideal for professional prints. The still images allow you to keep track during the shoot, to ensure continuity between shots or to share with clients who are not on set.

Available in 13 languages!
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is designed to be used anywhere in the world and is available in 13 languages. You can configure your camera in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Because it's easy to switch between languages, you can share your camera with other team members around the world. When you select a language, all on-screen information, menus and monitoring information will be displayed in that language.

Remote control via Bluetooth
If your camera is positioned at the top of a pole, or in a hard-to-reach location, you can control it via Bluetooth from up to 30 feet away. You can download the Blackmagic Camera Control app for iPad or use a third-party app, such as Bluetooth+ or tRigger on your iOS and Android devices. A free SDK for developers and sample code is also available from the Developers page of the Blackmagic Design website, to create your own remote camera and digital clapperboard control solutions. You can, for example, develop an application that can copy the timecode and trigger the recording of each camera, all at the same time. The possibilities are endless!

Power via batteries, DC 12V port and USB-C charging
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K works with removable LP-E6 batteries. The 6K G2 and 6K Pro models use larger NP-F570 batteries. With the secure DC power connector, there are no more power worries while shooting! The included AC adapter can power the camera while charging the battery. You have interchangeable international plugs for use anywhere in the world. Since the USB-C expansion port supports power, charge the battery from portable chargers, a phone charger or a computer. The optional power handle allows you to add additional batteries to increase recording time and shoot all day!

Use the Pocket Cinema Camera as a live studio camera!
Now you can use the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera as a studio camera for live production when you pair it with the ATEM Mini. Video and control is done via the HDMI connection as soon as you plug the cameras in. The recording light becomes a tally light to let you know which camera is on the air. The ATEM Software's camera control page provides a CCU-style interface, where you can adjust and harmonize your cameras. Move the controls vertically to control the iris and left to right to adjust the black levels. It works like a broadcast control channel! There are also controls for hue to balance the cameras, as well as for focus, gain and shutter speed. You can even make an independent Blackmagic RAW recording on the camera for editing later.
